Patek Philippe Round with Center Seconds 565 in Steel Case
Vintage Patek Philippe’s cased in steel and featuring center second hands are an utter rarity. The reference 565 is no exception. As a matter of fact this watch being cased in steel makes it an even more relevant was Patek Philippe. The 565 was the first large-sized water resistant watch manufactured by the Genevan manufacture. It features a two-piece case with a dust cap and screw down case back. The cases were manufactured by Taubert, with the inside case back bearing the case maker mark. Since the beginning on the 19th century, Taubert specialized in producing waterproof wristwatches and pocket watch cases.
