Rolex Day-Date 1803 in Gold with Wide Boy Dial on Japanese Made Jubilee Bracelet

During the 1960's and 70's the Japanese economy was in the midst of a downed economy. This promoted the government to levy high import duties on luxury items with Rolex being a direct casualty. Through Swiss wit and ingenuity Rolex decided that in order to save on imports they would license the manufacture of bracelets to a Japanese company. This manufacturing process would only last a handful of years thus yielding only a limited amount of bracelets. Available here is a 1972 Day-Date reference 1803 cased in yellow gold and fitted with a sought after "wide boy" dial.
