RARE Rolex Daytona ref 6265 14k gold

Rolex Daytona Cosmograph reference 6265 in 14kt yellow gold on rivet oyster bracelet, produced for the US market. The reference 6265 was introduced in 1972 until Rolex moved to automatic Daytonas in 1988. This reference is characterized by its screw-down chronograph pushers, which were first experimentally introduced in 1965 with the ref. 6240. This important innovation, along with the use of a 7mm Triplock crown, ensures its water resistance, as indicated by the word "Oyster" on the dial. The bezel is made of metal (stainless steel or gold) with an engraved tachymeter scale, similar to that of the earlier Rolex Cosmograph ref. 6262, which the Daytona ref. 6265 replaces.
